Im planning on running a kayaking trip to North wales the weekend of 17-18th June.
Camping near Bala in a site I’ve used many times before.
I plan to paddle the lower Tryweryn and hopefully the Dee. Both of these are moving water rivers around grade 2.
We usually can only paddle white water in the winter but as the Tryweryn is dam released they have releases throughout the summer, It does rely on the dam releasing water and the hope that there might be some water in the Dee, if not we can find some flat water to paddle near by like the upper section of the Dee.
You need to have suitable paddling kit for white water, you can borrow boats from the club by contacting the equipment officer.
If you are interested please let me know.
Any questions please ask.
