Sessions and Information

The fixed time sessions we run are shown here we do run trips and other events outside of these times being a member of the club would keep you uptodate with these events.

Please remember the river can be a dangerous place especially if paddling alone or without the knowledge needed to deal with the conditions. We state that only 2star and above paddlers can go off out of site on a sunday afternoon or tuesday evening but only in groups of 3 or more for safety reasons. We try to provide a duty instructor for the less experienced paddlers. Please consider the conditions when paddling the water can be much colder than the air especially in spring and autumn. We recommend a light weight windproof top and old clothes (not jeans) remember to bring a full change of clothes with you as a swim means everything gets wet.

Sunday River Session:

Sunday 2.00pm - 5.00pm
At the Nene Whitewater Centre in Northampton.
All abilities of paddler are welcome & suitable for new members, These sessions are aimed mainly at people with basic paddling skills but want a bit more practice on the flat water or just fancy a gentle paddle on the river nene, Aimed at 1 Star and above. For new members and those lacking experience in joining the trip a duty coach is available to assist.

Tuesday River Session:

At the Nene Whitewater Centre in Northampton.
The session is for 2 Star paddlers & above as no duty coach is available on these sessions.

White Water Fridays(Exclusive club use of the Whitewater course):
6.30pm - 9pm
These are special sessions where NCKC have exclusive access to the course.

Aimed at 2 star paddlers and above who want to get a basic introduction to whitewater or want to improve their whitewater skills. A coach is available for the newcomers to the whitewater.

Cost: £5 per person (no booking needed)
