NCKC Membership

One of the many benefits of NCKC membership is that, as a club member, you can borrow club equipment for your personal use both at our club and on trips, free of charge. 

To borrow equipment for a river or a white water course session, or a course run by the club (published in Breakout), no prior booking is necessary.  Just show your membership card to the Duty Officer and they will be able to book out the equipment you need.

To borrow equipment for club trips, please contact the trip leader in the first instance.  If they are happy with you taking part in the trip, contact the equipment officer at equipment@nckc.org.uk to book the equipment you need. 
You can also book equipment for non-club trips/events.  The request will be passed to the committee and we will let you know as soon as possible whether the request has been granted. 

Please note that you need to hold a BCU 2-star award if you intend to paddle unsupervised. 

To ensure that we can deal with your booking effectively, please use the booking form below and always book in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements; typically, we need a minimum of three working days to process requests for  club trips and a couple of weeks to process requests for non-club trips/events.  To avoid disappointment it is a good idea to book early as we operate on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Membership runs for a year or 6 months from the date of application.
