Whitewater Fridays
6th June, 11th July, 5 Sept
We are planning to run some of these during the summer, on the whitewater course. These will be a good time for a first introduction to whitewater paddling, and will also give a chance to experience some more specialised skills, such as rescue,slalom or whitewater racing.
Family Camp
18-20 July
This will be a two-day trip on the Nene,with riverside camping at Wadenhoe Scout Campsite. The trip will be suitable for
inexperienced paddlers, and camping will be available for non-paddling family members as well. If you have ever thought about canoe-camping (taking your kit in the boat with you) this could be a good trip to try it out.
Make a note in your diaries, more details to follow.
Wye weekend
Aug 15-17th
A trip on a reasonably gentle section of theriver Wye in Welsh border country. Suitable for Open Boats and longer kayaks (i.e. probably not playboats). More details to follow, make a note of the date.
Severn Weekend
20/21st September.
Scenic paddling from Ironbridge to Hapmton Loade. Suitable for kayaks and open boats.
